New brake system means new fluid. I went with this very high temp racing fluid. Under the hood of this Daytona, it can get warm....good stuff...

Very good stuff. But way overkill for underhood temps.

High temp brake fluid is for the 400 degree temps a wheel cylinder my see when the pad is seeing exteme temperatures while on a road course track or someone towing downhill and using brakes hard. I know real 440 Daytonas that go on track days.

If you are boiling brake fluid from underhood temps, you should have a fire extinguisher in one hand and calling the fire dept with the other.

I am not boiling brake fluid. But, this particular winged car used to have extremely hot engine temps due to low air flow. I attributed it to the exhaust manifolds getting hot and transferring heat into an engine compartment faster than it could get out. The white harness straps for the windshield washer hoses would melt. So, I don't want to take any chances.. A winged car isn't your typical car. Over engineered to me isn't overkill in this regard.... Better safe than sorry....
