Finally got to see the season finale... probably the worst episode I saw this season. First they race on the track, so much for "street" outlaws, then against of a bunch of cars that couldn't get down the road.

On an unpreped track with no timing equipment. They do that for some of the people who won't race on the street. And that "track" started out slicker than most streets.

Silly question but...why not just race on a prepped track and call it a day?? I admit I watch the show...but only because it's racing related. I do think though that it really is not helping the actual sport of drag racing.

Because racing the "no prep" race, simulates something closer to street conditions and that is the allure.

I can name loads of cars, both big and small tire, that will "Kill" the Street Outlaws guys on a prepped track........so what is the purpose of racing there. But as we see, the street is another story. So far we have had a BUNCH of real race cars, call out the OKC guys, because they KNOW their stuff is fast at the track and they think "how hard can it be" to make it go down the street. Obviously its pretty damn hard.......lol!!! That twin turbo, small tire Trans Am from Texas is a VERY fast car, on the TRACK. Murder Nova has NEVER been as fast as the T/A at the track....But, the T/A looked stupid on the street
