I also spend some time working on the two hood scoops I got for the car. I originally wanted to go with a hinged sixpack hood but I just couldn't justify the $800 so I went with the two scoops. When I got the scoops they didn't lay well on the hood (hood is curved, scoops were flat) but this was very easy to remedy. Took an hour or so with a small die grinder and a 1" drum sander. Not too bad...and it saved me $626
