Drove the blue 70 Belvedere today. Got siren, lights and radios in. Fixed all the problems like holes in floor and moved aftermarket amplifier.
Car drives good and seems to in mechanically sound shape.
I'm going to start on other 70 Belvedere after I finish putting the engine in the 73 police package matador.
Turns out the green Belvedere has a LAPD shop number on rear license plate holder. I'm collecting parts now.
Big news is the LAPD car had a single rear California blue and yellow plate in trunk. It also had 15 years of registration cards from 1971 thru 1980s. These reg cards had the plate number the same as the one in trunk. I was whining to my friend who sold me the car if I only had the front plate. He did. I was able to register the car with the original California plates issued in 1970!
