Thanks for the info. LAPD has no info these cars. Neither does the historical society. Which is too bad. Dmv purged all old records some time ago. They no longer do this but its all gone for the early 70s. SID Photos is the only place that has any info. They have a pretty good photo collection of old police cars and equipment.

As for the car this thread started with, I don't know if it still for sale. After a lot of looking and research, the jury is still out if it is a genuine LAPD car, might be - might not..

I did purchase a Belvedere which definitely could be a LAPD car. Drums all around, no rear defroster, factory sway bars, possible shop numbers on license plate holder and several other indicators, I'll know more when it's in my garage.

I do need green steering wheel with full circle horn ring for the new ride.
