I received my new wheels from Specialty Wheels. Outstanding and they are American made. They only have the centers for the later 9" hubcaps available. Lewto184 had a great idea on welding some spacers. After taking a very close look at original wheels however, you'll find that the "nubs" are slightly indented at the bottom. Reasoning that the older hubcaps are exactly 1" larger than the newer ones, it made sense to add 1/2" to each nub but have them undercut in order to capture the hubcap. I cut some spacers, 5/8" long from a few old 1/2" bolts and tacked them to one wheel. Perfect. The hubcap fit like factory. Did all four wheels and finish welded them. The roundness of the 1/2" stock holds the cap perfectly tight to the wheel. Attached is a picture after welding and priming.
