Un, a move right to 440-1s will get you these flow numbers or better if you get the SR without the dogleg, or the 440-1s,either with a 2.25 intake. I have heard that the SRs may have a little more short side to work with, so they might even outdo the 440-1s if ordered without the pushrod problem.

First set of numbers is before with 2.19 intake, second after porting ,2.25 intake.
The biggest shortblock you can build is the way to go, and in my estimation that is a set of wiseco 4.375 pistons with 1.300 compression hieght, with a 4.25 crank from ohio or eagle. 6.635 rods,all in a 400 block, and don't forget to figure in the 9cc for valve reliefs (yep, 9cc) for a big roller of up to 284@ .050 if you ever choose to go that big.
This motor should be capable of running 10.00 to high 9s if you build it with a roller, even staying under 7000 rpm and having a somewhat streetable converter in it. The power i estimate is about 725 hp, probably at about 6600 to 6800 rpm.
