My old combo went 11.78 @ 114 in good air. It would run 12.00-12.20 in the hot humid summer air all day long. It was consistent as heck too.

- 69 440 .030 over
- stock rods
- flat top pistons 10.00:1
- MP 484 cam
- stock, stamped rockers, shafts, and push rods.
- hooker 1 7/8 super comps with full exhausts and tail pipes.
- E heads
- six pack (thats a budget buster but a good used single plane intake with a Holley 850 would do the job for a lot less)
- 3.91s in an 8 3/4
- stock leaf springs and a mopar pinion snubber.
- 10" slicks
- regular old cheapie street shocks
- 727 with 3200 10" converter
- heavy cragar SS wheels.
- car weighed about 3900# with me in it.
- Edelrbock HP mechanical fuel pump.

I drove it all the time on the street. I would drive it on Sunday mornings 60 miles each way to a car show. As long as I didn't get into it, it actually got decent mileage! My current combination is much more radical.
