Well, I've apparently got way to much into my motor to be as slow as it is, but here's my entire combo that has gone 12.39 @ 110.

1967 Plymouth Satellite, Full interior, 3770 lbs with me in it.
400 block, .040 over
Forged 413 RB crank, (452 cubes)
Scat H-beam Rods
KB Icon forged pistons - 10.25:1
Mahle plasma-moly rings
(bobweight: 2314)
MP windage tray
OTB Stealth heads with 10* locks & retainers, & Engle double valve springs (350 lb. open)
Engle KV-3 solid flat tappet cam: square 252* @.050; .573 lift; 109* cl, installed straight up.
Performer RPM intake
Holley 830 cfm DP jetted 78f 84r
MSD Digital 6+ ignition w/ Mallory Mag-breakerless distributor - 36* total in at 3k.
Hooker Comp 1-7/8" headers to 3" dumps, down to 2-1/4" full exhaust with Flowmaster 40's
ACC 10" 3500 rpm converter
727 with Transgo Stage 2 kit
8-3/4" w/ 3.91:1 gears; sure grip.
Stock suspension with SSM lift bars, and Summit adjustable shocks
CE bolt in Frame connectors, welded in.
Hand-me-down 28x9x14 slicks mounted on 14x6 rims.

I've made 10 passes and haven't really done anything except mess with the jetting a little. I love the car, and am proud of the motor I built for right at 5-grand total. I am plenty confident that there's more in it, But I'm frustrated with what I see here..... i.e.: a lot of guys going WAY faster than me, with way less motor. I think that a set of better tires on the right rims will help a little, as its pretty skatey on the current slicks.

I think my combo SHOULD be somewhere near the 11.70's. I figure I'll have to make about 114mph to get there though.

You and I almost have the same set up. This is what I have and my best is an 11.80 @ 113(and change), 1.62 60', .452 r/t.

I got a 67 Coronet, all steel, full interior. 400 stroked to 470, 10.8:1, Diamond pistons, Manley Rods, 727 trans with a 2800 PTC, 4.10 dana spool, Eddy RPM heads OOTB, RPM intake, 830 Quik Fuel carb, Voodoo cam 60304, MSD, 325x50x15's M/T drag radials, TTI 1 7/8" primaries, 3" to rear bumper, summit 90/10's front, stock shocks rear, frame connectors welded in.

You should easily be in the verrrrry low 12's to high 11's with your car before tuning it. I didn't do much to get out of a 12.10 @ 110ish to my new best - basically put on better tires, shocks, and had my trans rebuilt (it definitely had seen it's day) and that was it. I was doing backflips for hours after hitting my first 11 second 1/4. And then the fun began...

The only thing I could think of would be the tires - you said hand me downs... I improved quite a bit with more footprint from a 275 to the 325s I have now... but that also meant I mini tubbed and moved the springs in. How are your 60' times? Spinning? Traction issues? Take photos or a video of your launches to see how your car reacts? I'll be the first to admit, I am always learning AND, what I have learned, I am willing to shed some insight as well. That's what makes Moparts so awesome.

Best of luck to you and your project!!

Dave
