Not here. Paid $600 for my 340 engine, tore it down, replaced the rings and bearings and put it back together. Still has the factory rods with good bolts, and the original X heads. Added a Comp XE274 hydraulic cam, an Airgap intake, a 650 Holley, PTC 3,500 converter, SS springs, 3.91 gears. Ran 12.91 @ 103 mph with less than $2,000 invested in the engine. Car is heavy for an A-body too.

STOCK OEM 383 shortblock,906's cut -.030,old Mopar street hemi grind cam, double roller chain,933 Mopar springs,valve job, TM-6 ,Holley 750 DP,Accel BEI ignition,1 7/8ths Hooker headers,4.10 gear 28" tire and 4-speed with Zoom clutch,ran 12.70's all day with M&H Muscclecar tires.Dad would hook the mufflers back up Sunday and drive to work M-F.
