There was a small metal strip that some choke assemblies had to retain the choke tube (I have them reproduced if you want one) but there are so few untouched survivor cars out there that had one I have never actually seen one that was original on a 66-70 Hemi car, I have however found them on other early 60's Mopar engines so they did exist. Here's what they look like.


Also, I can now get proper reproduction 66/67 carb tags (they have embossed verticle lines stamped into them). They are spendy though.
