I had a hard time with car shows last year myself. I find the hobby has a bunch of do nothings in it now that buy a so so car and drive into a show expecting to go home with a trophy. I mean what does it say about your car if you win a trophy without opening the hood or trunk??? It wasn't judged you were given a participation award.

I spend time before a show getting the car polished just right and time after I come home getting the car polished just right but since it's not a loud color it just goes unnoticed. The sense of pride/workmanship is not a priority like it was 20 years ago.

With a car like yours that countless hours are spent on you will need to take it to Large shows with like minded people in attendance. Or do what I do on many weekends just cruise it around with no place to go.

The repro. industry was always hit and miss, your car can't use those pieces. You have gone to the next level where you have to send your original pieces out to specialized people to redo them.

Take a cooling off period.
