10:1 SCR, SP bottom end, CC.650"/290@.050dur solid flat tappet, single plain, 2" open spacer 850DP, 2" f/wells, 2.14/1.81 906's, approx 255cfm, doubt if much more, moroso motor/belt driven w/pump, no alternator, MSD 6A, ran real good, 98 octane fuel, 38 total, car went 1.46 60, always hooked well, but not that hard (4.5psi in slicks), big mistake!!...does that sound like 484hp to you guys? anyone run anything similar, apart from a cam like that with such a low CR.......or is it a case of how long is a piece of string..........probably the latter.

The cam looks real big for 10:1, but even with that I would have expected it to be solidly into the 530-540hp range.
Of course, depending on how good the "car" was(EVERYTHING other than the motor), it could easily show that far off(90% of 540 is 486).

I built an 11:1 446 in 1990, ported big valve 346's, UD 276/280 solid, TG4500 intake, milodon oil system, 2 1/8 X 4 headers....... Made 595hp.
Went in a 2950lb chassis car with a glide......ended up going 9.80's........ Mid-130's.

I have to believe in your case the car was making the numbers look worse than they were.
