To the original poster; hope you enjoy where this is going, many of us do and much is learned in the process. Some things get miss understood. Like WJs comment. I will bet WJs intent was to say that flow to the end user(the bearings) is the critical event. As an example, a SBC has a very efficient oiling system and doesn't need the oil pressure of some other motors to survive in a racing environment. The system gets enough oil to the bearings for lube and cooling at a relatively low pressure. Not so some Fords, I have heard. They have restrictions in the path from pump to rod bearings that need more pressure to be overcome.
