Just scuff it up good with a 3m scratch pad like the body shops use.Powder coat is just basicly dried paint baked on in oven.I always keep one in my box ,they work great for cleaning/polishing metal ,mainly seal flanges .You can bake rattle can paint too at low temps in oven and the finish will look fantastic and be more scratch resistant also.But with brake calipers ,just burning in the pads should bake the paint on,However I could still almost touch my new Baer PBRs after a downhill decent .I could barely heat them up even after a 80 mph panic stop!
