If I remember correctly there was a Lime Hemi Cuda that somebody restored several years ago. His goal was to make it just like it was back on the dealership floor.....but not in a good way. He had seam sealer everywhere.....overspray everywhere....trunk weatherstrip glue dripping, this car was perfect!! If I remember right the car was never accepted among the masses.......it looked very authentic.

It wasn't accepted as a "dealership vehicle" that looked "new". Had you seen the car in person you would have had thought it was a survivor with 10,000 miles! Flash rust on a new car.....absolutely possible! Rust flaking from the underside(lip)trunk sheet metal, etc.....not a chance! Taking the "worst case scenario" for every aspect of a factory vehicle is not the best formula to adopt for any restoration. The problem with that particular vehicle was that it was restored to emulate the "survivors" that were used as a format during it's restoration. Had it been presented in that fashion it would have been a hit!
