Am I wrong in thinking your shifting has nothing to do with the 60' due to the fact that you should cover that first 60' in first gear or darn close to it. The only experience I have with shifting quickly is watching my instructor at school (I've since graduated, long long time ago it seems, where does the time go?) shift his 99 camaro with a jerico transmission. I know they had a clutch with adjustable spring pressure points and they would crawl under it at the track to get the right amount of slippage without it being excessive or too tight and bogging the motor.
Here's a video, I know it's not a mopar, but this thing is impressive being N/A and a 4 gear stick.
