An area of "real estate", if you will, is the front wheelhouse either for or aft of the wheel & tire.
I mounted a remote oil filter aft of the RF tire, at the side of the cowl, on my SB Duster (sig pic) racecar.
It had no splash shields, and 1 fenderwell header tube, ran the #10 hoses (fire-sleeved) through there to fittings @ the filter area (SBs having that on the RR of the block).
No stone damage in 25 years, but it was never on the street.
There's plenty of room forward of the tires, too, though you'd want the thing accessible.

Good tip from DGS: there are quite a few parts that go from generic to "race" courtesy of a decal... and huge markup.
