I've got lots of 'gearing' for the off-road bits so no worries there - in fact as silly as it sounds the OE cam is plenty for what I need on the trails, but it'll just suck wind on the street so what I'm after is a better cam from 1500-4500 rpm, with a sweet spot of 2000 cruising at 70 mph. No concerns about anything above 5k rpm - will never hang out there. What's also real nice is both my OD and LU are on toggle switches, with 12v power supplied via a speed-sensing relay via a B&M controller (at speed x relay energizes enabling both OD and LU, and below speed x power is removed, disabling both OD and LU), so when the OD is engaged and I step in it to pass someone it'll stay in overdrive vs downshifting into 2nd gear - geeze I hated that part about the 46re. Anyway...

FWIW, this is the graph from my Gear-Speed calculator for the 46rh (and similar) transmissions, in my case with 5.38 gears and 40" tires -
