It comes down to a pro gear or street gear. Street gears are very hard = brittle, pro gears are softer. A friend had a fast Ford with a 9”, keep knocking teeth off the gear, installed a pro gear and lasted two years. 8-3/4s have the same problem. Radials will break an anvil (dead hook)
