Exactly what my son voiced, "After your house, your car is the biggest expense you have, and you only use it 1-2 hrs per day"
And with a new car costing $50-100k, maybe it is money better spent elsewhere

No need to spend that kind of money on a new car, unless your self esteem is based on how much you spent on a new car. Or were never taught anything about money, budgets and needs versus wants.

My son's lack of interest in driving has nothing to do with the price of a car, it's my car and it's paid off. The price of fuel, I fill the tank. Nor is he brainwashed by the environmental whackadoos.

He's just not interested.
