The gear it's has no bearing on the TP linkage operation. If flooring the throttle moves the trans lever forward, the linkage is hooked up to the wrong side of the throttle lever. Time for some pics.

Took me a while, but I figured that out. Lever know goes in right direction. On test drive, still would not kickdown (didn't think it would, lever moved in correct direction, but far from full back). Also on test drive, shift points worse. (1-2, 8mph, 2-3 15mph, and slipping.)
