I agree with Monte. I'd probably either add a section to make the opening larger, or add below it to raise the scoop a bit. Landy's deal looks OK to me, but the whole point is fresh cool air.
I wouldn't worry about the context of a 10-second street car, that's still plenty respectable.
I don't even mind cowl-induction hoods on Mopars, which is something I might do with my Duster project because I think it fits better into the sleeper/patina vibe the car has instead of the 6-pack scoop on it now. It needs 3" over the air cleaner to clear the Indy BB top end, otherwise I'd run a flat hood.
