I think I'll go ahead and drill/tap the manifold to accept the pivot directly and buy a longer linkage rod. I spent a bit of time modifying and fooling with the adapter piece and decided it will all work much better located farther outboard on the manifold flange. I will have to move the throttle linkage over as well. Thanks for taking a look Cab! And thanks for selling me the velocity stacks!
I have been doing this engine project (in duplicate) for a long time and it's nice to see stuff going together and fitting the way it should. It sure is great to be back in a decent shop with all of my tools organized.
