I had John's modded Stage 5 with two Eddy 600's on my 434 & did have the
steel ropop shaker base from Tim Banning. Setup worked great. Wish I'd
have gone with the Thunder 650's but we still got the afb's running pretty
smoothly. Shaker fit well & only was bout 1/4"higher than with the
factory setup, but I also had small 1/8"spacers under the carbs.
