i'll have to ask my friend where the crack was to make sure. i think there was another 1-2 threads in the block where it broke off.

i will look into this. it is clear though that the problem was the pan hitting the pickup. there is a nice imprint of the pickup on the bottom of the pan.

how many threads is a separate issue, so i will check into that...
