Well its been a long hot summer but we're making some progress. I had a set back on the block; the original block turned out to be bad. After decking it my machinist discovered a hole in the wall of #5 cylinder. Probably a result of sitting for so long after the flood. (see OP) After finding a donor block, there was another delay as it had a small chip at the top of one of the holes that machinist wasn't sure would come out after it was decked. Fortunately the guy I got it from was willing to trade for another and we moved on. Acid dipped, decked, bored .030" new bearings pistons and rings.
