) The intake is off a mid-60s 273. The AVS my dad already had and is, according to the p/n, off a 71 C-body BB so I will have to drill the base plate to make it work on the SB intake. Window shopping for a cam kit. Looking at the stock 340 cam or one of the milder aftermarket cams in that performance range. Lunati's are in my ball park budget. I can't wait to start on the engine. It's been years since I've done any serious engine work and I'm looking forward to the extra power. It runs pretty good now, however; the rings seem to have loosened up and re-sealed after the years of sitting. Last time I ran it it only smoked on initial start-up. I figure worn valve guides or the valve seals aren't doing their job very well any more. There is only 102k on it but as I said in the OP, it sat idle for many years and there was that flood thingy LOL. Onward and forward
