Which set of lifters did you buy??? the Pro Magnum set are higher RPM lifters and require adjustable rockers w/ little to no lash as stated above. They are as close to a solid lift as you can get in a hydraulic. The "street" or lower rpm model may take the usual 1/2 or more turn. Verify which lifter set you have. Some of the lifter models do state noisy valve train as a side effect.
