If he has a steep enough gearset, could the 4BT be kept mostly stock?
If you look up the HP specs on the 4bt you will see it is not a power house by any means.
But it was not set up that way stock. Add some RPM (gov. spring kit) fuel and air it will impress you. Down side? Rough shaking at start and turn off. I have one that is factory rated at 130 HP and 400 or 440 torque. I added gov spring kit and a fuel plate.
