the diesel units are full of turbo400 internals and there is all kind of aftermarket stuff available---check with larry at chrisman torque converters he has pioneered a torqueflite converter with the same stuff inside----years ago he bought a $900 race converter from a big national chain then cut it open to find it full of machined down nissan stuff--that propelled him into using off the shelf american parts----check his website out----other guys here have mentioned using his stuff--and i think his are moderately priced too----bob
