Do you have power befor the dash, like in the bulk head connector, cigar lighter, interior lights?
Might want to make sure you are getting power into the cab then try to find out where it is or isn't going. Kinda sounds like the fuseable link. It's a heavy (red?) wire coming out of the bulk head connector into the engine compartment. It will have a yellow tag that says fuseable link if still stock. If this goes you will have no power. Might have shorted something putting the gauge cluster in and out a lot.
