Back in 1965 I was looking to build me a '55-'56 Chev. to run in modified production (NHRA). I asked a friend if he new anyone with a 327 Chev. for sale and he replied "why don't you buy my Rammy?" Rammy meaning Ramcharger 426 max wedge. Turns out that he wanted $350 for a 415 HP max wedge 426 WITH the torqueflite! How could I say no to that?. I installed it into a '55 Chev. and as the saying goes the rest is history. I bracket raced a '63 Max Wedge Plymouth in the 70's and built a bracket race '67 Cuda (440) in 1974. Quit racing in 1980 but re-emerged in '93 when I built the 'Cuda into a tube chassis Super Street racer. I now run an '88 T-Bird with a 511 B-1 in Super Gas. Ken Bowers
