What do you guys think this combo would be good for?
3720 lb (w/driver) Challenger
418 CI small block w/4” stroke
11.5:1 compression
Solid roller, 262/268 @ .050
Dana 60 w/4.10’s & 29.5” slick
Holley 950HP, Edelbrock Victor, ported Performer RPM heads
9.5” converter, approximately 4500 rpm stall
Pump gas

High 10.80's in perfect conditions.

11.20's at 119 once sorted out

How much porting in the heads? Id say if you are not running an small 1 5/8 header, and got fresh air into the carb, real low 11's.

11.30 at 117

that weight is brutal..so i say 11.30ish

11.45 - no - - wait - - 11.49.

I would go with a smaller carb....a 850 is plenty.

Gives more zip in the 60 ft, where most of the race is....

Mid 11,s IMO, probably slower if its a untested combo.

Easy mid 11's I will say. Maybe better as them smallblock strokers just really seem to run good. Ron

If it doesn't go real low 11's, I think I may be real disappointed in my new motor!

I wonder how much HP/tq the engine has at the flywheel to pull 3720 lbs. It's all a guess right now. Seems like a lot of weight to get moving. Until you get a few passes and tuned up. First pass, I'd look for a high 11. Nothing always goes right first time out. Too many stories here says different. Is it safe to say expect 115 mph and around 6800 at the traps? That may be a 11.50 pass, but Im just guessing

OK, I'll own up to the post. This combo is really "416challenger" on this site and it has run a 10.87 @ 122mph in good weather (and low 11's when its 100 deg out). I've always thought it runs very well and wanted some other opinions.
