Bill , I don't know you and will probably never meet, but I would gladly donate to help you get your car up and running. I enjoy your posts, and love that you race with your kids. I do the same... me and my two boys are currently restoring a 66 Coronet, all original. I used to race in the 80s - 90s on the west coast and the one thing I miss are the friendships and the willingness to step in and help your fellow racer, even if you were probably going to get beat by him in the next round.
