I decided to leave the leafs natural since that's the way they came new...

When you say 'natural' do you mean just bare metal?
If so,to keep the looking good for longer is there such a thing as a paint which would mimic'bare metal'
Cheers

Eastwood sells products like that.. I prefer though not to do that for paint scratches/chips over time.. Granted, I'm using a clear paint, but it isn't as obvious to wear and tear as coloreed paint would be.. The wire wheel I have on my grinder cleans the leafs up pretty good while maintaining the cold steel look to it.. The Krylon satin clear I use, for me, does the ticket.. Doesn't shine too much, maintains the steel look and protects for corrosion control as well..
