Well from my experience you get what you pay for when it comes to paint and bodywork. Some guys just work cheap thats all. Folks new to the business may be willing to work for less. When it comes to paint and bodywork there is no money in repaints of old cars or race cars. IF they are in business to make money they do collision repair work. That is where the cash is at. Look around and you may find someone willing to take on that type of project but do your homework...I have painted most all of my cars over the years, the current one being an exception, you dont want to know what it would cost to duplicate
