Or is it me the driver? I have now gone thru 3 clutches in the last 4500 miles. The first one was a centerforce dual friction unit and it was great until I took my car to the track with some dot drag tires and fried it. The first one I got about 8 passes out of it until it started to smell and all free play went away and the pedal became very stiff. When I pulled it, it was down to the rivets on the clutch disk and blued the flywheel. I then bought a mcleod unit that was told would work with my car about 700hp and 650+tq. Well that did not last more than 3 passes and was toast. I then reinstalled the current one another centerforce and took the car to the track a few weeks back and it did the same as the first and now has a stiff pedal though it is not slipping yet. I now need to do it again and wondering what you 4spd boys would suggest?
