Not sure if this info is helpful, but the pan fits in my 1970 e-body with 2 inch TTi's. The scattershield is more of a concern with the pan in my case. The pan has to be installed and the engine put in sans bellhousing and clutch to clear the k-member.

I ran into this exact same problem with my 74 Challenger, small block, 1 3/4 Hookers, and the Milodon road race pan. The pan sump is so freaking big, I couldn't get enough angle with the trans and bell housing in place to get it all wiggled down in between the motor mount blocks.

Once I drop the trans and bell housing, it dropped right in. Its a plenty snug fit, but it doesn't touch anywhere and nothing hits it, although I do have a single header tube within 1/2" on the passenger side.

I went from the bottom up in my 68 charger with a 4 speed. No problems except for valve cover hitting the frame. Tim
