That is what i am afraid off... thanks for your reply. or go to the (dot) tyres from my (pro dot) tyres.
Ya, my 11.5 Quick Time Pros did the exact same thing, Its too bad because they look great in there! but i drove the car about 10 miles and just about ruined the tires, the sharp edges of the wheel well trim sliced the side wall pretty good. Some guys have good luck using a B-body diff since they are an inch or two narrower and then use offset shackles. Then you can play with the back spacing and fit a tire that size in there.

Finally I have driven my car on the 1/4 mile, first time ever , was a really nice experience, not only the driving but also meeting other racers. I did 4 races, all of them was about the same, no traction, shifted manually from low to high, hit the revlimiter and it didn't shift up unless I let the throttle up a bit, on the way home it popped to my mind that the shift issue was due to the kick down. next time I'll remove the kick down wire, or just run it on Drive. also my stock leaf springs are done, I ordered cal track mono springs, and slicks will be on the car next time (Hoosier pro dot) Link to one of my runs, time on that run was 11,98 (me at 5:30) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbFnmUZJPfQ

Thanks for the info , Then I'll leave the kick down alone and run it on D (drive). Se how much faster it will go next time with slicks and the Cal track monosprings.

You should adjust it so it shifts where you want it to. Is it the factory piece? If so the best start is to line up the holes on the mounting bracket w/ a drill bit, then adjust the arm to the carb all the way up until it's almost touching, then adjust the lower arm to the bell crank. You also need a light spring from the bracket to the carb so the arm stays up on the carb linkage. The longer you make the arm/linkage the higher the shift point and quicker the downshifts will be. (I think) What stall and gear are you running? If you haven't upgraded your rear (axles, ring..pinion) I'd try not to load it up to much and come out soft then hammer it.

I have adjusted my kickdown to be fully "open" on full throttle, I have the HEMI kickdown lever in the trans (5,0), My stall is 3000rpm and gear is 4:10, and I have upgraded axles an pinion, so it should hold together thanks for the tip Ps: post photos of your ride if you whant

If i was you, i would sell the 8-3/4 and fit a slightly narrower dana, for the bs and to offset the cost of the dana. I sold my 8-3/4 and it almost paid for the dana i put in and i've got far less weight and power than you have. Mick
