The drivers side one? He had another that was exactly the same but had bosses for a heat shield. I wasn't too sure about the passenger side one. I thought HP manifolds didn't have the heat riser/ flappy thingy.

N96 383's wouldn't have them either.
No holes or studs is because it's a 68-69 HP manifold , same used on 383 with and WITHOUT N96 , same for the 440 , and the 440-6 , as stated above the right manifold is a 68-69 B and C body ONLY .
The clocking of the outlet changed for 1970 along with the heat riser valve clocking ... but it's possible some VERY EARLY 1970's got them , but I've never seen one ...
That last statement was to appease the that are for a correction
