When you assemble the rockers on the engine, make sure none of the grooves locates between a rocker and a stand: oil pressure leak.

Interesting, but not surprising considering the current state of things.
FWIW, my RAS shafts are the nicest shafts I've had; I just keep giving them a touch-up polish and reusing 'em. The only other shafts that look as thick-walled to me are the Harland Sharp shafts.
