I have a Be Cool radiator with there electric fans. Cools great, but draw a lot of amps? Volt gauge is at 14.5 volts@ 1200 until I kick on the fans then drops to 10-12 volts. There wired on duel relays with circuit breakers to the cut-off switch. Any ideas?

Lose one fan. Smaller alt pulley, Find an alt that has a faster amp curve.

It's an east-cost mini alternator one wire, fits the DMI low mount bracket. Think I'm going to try disconnecting one of the fans & see if it stills cool enough.

You could hook up each fan on a separate thermo switch
so one turns on at X temp then if it gets hot enough
that the other turns on.. just need 2 thermo switches
that you can get at O'Rielys for $18 each

Next time you need one of those save some money and go to the parts store. Thats a GM CS130 alternator. I have one on my Barracuda and it works great with all of my stuff, one fan, water pump, fuel pump, lights, no problem. I spec'd a 92 buick for my application. It was like $115 with a lifetime warranty.

That's a great idea Mr P. I put a thermostatic switch in my CSR water pump before I sent parts to my engine builder. My water pump & fans are on a switch. Thought it might be a good idea in case I forgot to turn on switches. Now I have to figure out how to wire?

Thats pretty simple... open the wiring harness to the
fans and separate them... I run a relay for fans so
I use the thermo switch to trigger the relay
