solid .590 roller .640
comp 12.7.1 10.5.1
intake victor SD
carb 950 950

mine approx 600 hp yours 630 hp

how can you say a guy that has 56 more cubic inches is only going to make 30 more hp?

2pts. compression is part of it...

610@5700 and climbing before rocker shaft problems ended the day.

i think the engine gains 10hp per 100 more rpm on the dyno +/- to what the cam, carb, heads will allow.

how does that happen? lack of oil? I would think they'd make a bunch on noise before they siezed up...

Possible the springs are too stiff for those rockers ?

Have you ever dynoed and engine or been present for one ? You aren't in the room with the engine, headers are usually open, there is a lot of noise .

In his case using rockers rated below the spring pressure.

just chassis dyno.

Just talked to Comp. They said those rockers should be fine with my spring pressures.(or at least the new design ones.)

I thought this came up before and that 500 was the number ?? Are yours considered the new design ?

Mods to your rocker oiling ???

Are they going to warranty them ?

Are these the Comp Pro Magnums? Seems like a few people were having those rockers bushed due to the steel-against- steel galling..... Never mind, i see you have started another post.

Ok finally got back to the dyno. Same combination execept Harlond Sharp rockers......

657.5 hp @ 6100
638.6 tq @ 4800

on Sunoco 93!!

Video of pull

Tried a M1 with 1" spacer on it also....
ran 1 hp under the sd. The sd had a more straight curve to it. the m1 was very choppy. Sorry can't find the sheet right now for the M1 so no exact numbers.

All in all made 16 pulls yesterday. Only "scare" was losing 50hp on the first run with the M1. found a piece of bowl gasket in the front jet. No harm no foul!!

Very Happy!!!

Hey Jim congrats on finally get that thing running on the dyno. Made some good numbers Todd and Duane were keeping me posted. I unfortunately was working in an attic (the exciting life of an HVAC guy) in Toms River while you guys were having fun. I couldn't believe that the M1 wasn't a little better than the SD. Now hurry up and get it in the car and see what it does. I'm saying 10.50 at 127-128. Good luck. And tell us what the @.050 numbers are and the lobe seperation.
