The only conclusion i can come to is its either the adj. is off, the switch is going bad (this is most likly the problem), or its getting a weak connection, OR could it be in the starter relay , i have noticed its acted up alot more sence i installed a new cable for the shifter.
I would look at the adjustment first , if it was working before then it's the adjustment of the new cable .
Even before it would act up on acassion, but not this bad, i know those safety switches are sensitive as to there possitioning.
