Ha. Good bet that anyone working at the DOT or DMV is a good bit younger than most anyone on this site. Also, I'd bet very few of them have NO knowledge of what real cars used to be. Case in point, why would any "stock" car havesomething sticking up through the hood? I wonder how many Plymouth Superbird or Dodge Charger Daytona, or even a 1970 Mercury Meteor owner would have to explain that their car is completely stock, even with huge wings and things sticking out. Pretty much anyone born after 1980 has little knowledge of the vehicles we strive to enjoy.
