That may have been my post. 440-1 heads and 572 heads use the same casting core, the 572 is rolled 2 degrees, exhaust is moved out .050 to the outside of chamber to fit bigger valves. My 440-1 heads flowed 399 at .800 sneaked up to 400 at .900 after installing 2.300 intake valves and cutting down the exhausts to 1.78 to make them work together in the standard 440-1 head. They showed a nice improvement on the intake side, very little loss on the exhaust.
