The engine has a Sniper XFlow on it which is good for 700+ hp. For a dedicated race car I'd probably use the 4500 version. I think the 4500 version would make more power on a 4500 type intake than the smaller XFlow that we used on this engine. Might not be a big difference but I wouldn't be surprised if it picked up 15 to 20 hp with the bigger intake and bigger throttle body.

You need to work with an experienced EFI person to sort out a Sniper on a race car. The Sniper software is designed for street use so a few things need to be tweaked to make it work on a race car. Not a big deal, an experienced EFI guy like Rich at FAST Man EFI can do it in 20 or 30 minutes. Rich is a good resource to work with if you want some help buying and tuning an EFI system for your race car.
