I looked up a picture of the shifter and if I got the right image, it sure looks alot like a stock shifter?

This is just me, but I would just re-build and re-grease the truck shifter (it is a Hurst shifter), cut the end off, weld on the pistol grip, and modify for shorter throws.

That's what I did to shorten the shifts on my current 833od in an E-Body and it's awesome. The throws are about 4 to 5 inches long, maybe less.........haven't driven it since last year.
