Aluminum radiators are awesome for race cars with the minimal weight and only have to cool for a few minutes at a time. Sure they will work for your basic daily driver and hot rod, and they are much cheaper, but I can't tell you how many times I have bought a used beater like a minivan and the first part I had to replace was the radiator...
